The Fine Art Printing process
We can either scan your original artwork or print direct from a digital file supplied – please ensure you own the copyright. Our studio is set up to scan original flat artworks up to a maximum size of 1550mm x 2500mm. A Digital file will be supplied to you at 300dpi – this will enable your image to be re-produced at the original full size if required. We can also if requested provide a smaller size file for web use etc.
Maximum print width onto fine art paper is 1110mm (inc. border). Our current fine art paper selection is: Sonata Textured 300gsm, Minuet Smooth 300gsm, Fine art Contour 310gsm or Somerset Velvet 330gsm.
Our Fine Art Matte Canvas is made of natural fibres and we apply a liquid gloss varnish to the face for protection. We can also either ‘Box stretch’ or mount on MDF board if required.
A high resolution scan is produced from your flat artwork using a digital camera back and polarised lighting. Using this method means your valuable origination is not placed on a drum
Retouching of blemishes and/or marks pre-production if required
All papers and canvas media are conservation grade archival quality and the inks we use are UV pigmented which are highly fade resistant.
We are happy to print one copy off or 100!
