Looking to scan your original artwork to save a digital copy or plan to reproduce your work as printed reproductions – we can help!
Scanning original artwork: Our studio is set up to produce a High Resolution Scan from an original flat artwork up to a maximum size of 1550mm x 2500mm. A Digital file will be supplied to you at 300dpi. This ensures we capture the detail of your work and will therefore enable your image to be re-produced at the original full size if required. If you would also like a smaller size file for web/social media use, please request this when you drop your piece off. Once your original artwork has been scanned the digital file can be supplied via email/free file sharing site or can be supplied on a USB/memory stick at an additional cost – see below. Please note: due to the high volume of works we scan, we can not store the files. Please ensure you have saved the file supplied to you.
Fine Art Printing – also known as Giclee printing: The maximum width we can print onto fine art paper or canvas is 1110mm (inc. border). Our archival fine art paper selection can change as new products are frequently being released and different papers do trend. Some artist’s prefer to have something that’s off-white & textured whilst others prefer a smoother whiter finish. Fine Art Papers we stock are:
Museum Heritage 310gsm – Mid-white/textured matt. Acid Free.
Omega Rag 310gsm – Neutral white/smooth matt. Acid Free.
Expressions Smooth 300gsm – White/smooth matt. Acid Free.
Canvas printing:
The most popular canvas we use is: Production Matt Canvas 380gsm – bright white/Textured matt (80% polyester / 20% cotton) and we apply a liquid gloss varnish to the face for protection (please note some shrinkage may occur when varnished).
We can mount the canvas onto MDF board if required or we’re happy to arrange ‘wooden/box stretching’ with a local framer.
If you prefer a traditional Photo paper look then we also stock: Baryta Rag 310gsm paper – Natural white/satin. Acid Free.
Tips: please remember it’s best to never display any works in direct sunlight as this can effect the image and/or product quality. Fine art papers are fragile and need to be handled with care. Try not to touch the surface of the paper where possible.
Info: Our printing process uses CMYK we can not therefore print using Neon or metallic inks.
Copyright:: Please ensure you own the copyright to have any artwork scanned or printed. If you are supplying us with a digital file to print direct from you will also require the copyright. We may ask permission to see this.
IMPORTANT Notice: Artworks are not covered by our Insurance. Although we take the utmost of care in handling pieces, we are not liable for any damage caused during handling or storage on our premises. Please ensure your Insurance policy covers works whilst out of your home or business premises.
